Gavin Benney is a proud Northlander who cares deeply about his community, and will represent New Zealand First in the upcoming election.

Serving on the frontline of the NZ Police for 30 years in Northland, Gavin has the knowledge and experience to identify solutions to the law and order issues facing the country.

Since leaving the police, Gavin has been a business owner and a Whangarei District Councillor for the last six years. Gavin also chairs the Community Development Committee and has been actively involved in community rugby for many years.

Gavin and his partner Maria live in Whangarei and have four adult children between them, and four grandchildren.
