Complete the online form using a unique email address. Memberships renew on the 31st of December each year and the annual subscription fee is $10.00. Any amount given above that will be gratefully received as a donation.

Disclosure Rules

Since 1 January 2023, the Electoral Act requires us to disclose the identity of any entity (person, company, trust, etc.) that donates over $5,000. This threshold applies to both

- any one off donation, and
- cumulative donations from one entity greater than $5,000 in any calendar year.

Should you donate more than $20,000 from 1 January of an election year and the day before election day we must disclose these donations within 10 working days of receipt.

Manual Payments and Large Donations

If you want to pay your membership by Bank Transfer or are donating more than $1,000, please donate directly into our KiwiBank account (New Zealand First, KiwiBank, 38-9011-0204149-03). For large donations, this allows more of your donation to go to the NZ First and not our payment processor. 

The Electoral Act prohibits NZ First from receiving anonymous donations of more than $1,500. Please provide your contact and personal details to [email protected] otherwise any anonymous donation received above $1,500 - the excess must be provided to the Crown. 

Overseas Donations

If you are an overseas person (as that term is defined in section 207K of the Electoral Act) then the maximum donation that we can receive from you is $50. Overseas persons are those who are not resident in New Zealand, except New Zealand citizens and those enrolled to vote in New Zealand. If your donation is more than $50 and you are an overseas person then the amount of your donation that exceeds $50 must be returned to you. If we cannot return it to you, then the donation is provided to the Crown.
