Michelle graduated from the University of Auckland and qualified as a specialist General Practitioner. After having a family, Michelle continued part time in General Practice for over twenty years.
With strong Christian values, Michelle has spent a significant amount of time in service to humanity. She volunteered as a crew physician for Mercy Ships at Togo, West Africa, and networked around Ghana before settling for three months doing volunteer work at the Kpandai Medical Centre, in northern Ghana.
Following Covid-19, Michelle retired from medicine, concerned about the centralization of political control over health. She is deeply passionate about New Zealand and will be a strong advocate for the principles of New Zealand First.
