Remove mandates for frontline health workers

Frontline GPs and nurses are saying the ‘health system is falling to bits’.

This is despite the Minister minimising the overwhelming and unsustainable workload putting the system on the brink of failure.

It is inconceivable that the government didn’t know we weren’t training enough GPs or nurses and facing a severe shortage.

We must remove mandates for health workers and return the jobs for desperately needed nurses and general practitioners (GPs).

We are now in a situation where we should be more worried about our failing health system with the upcoming flu rather than what omicron is doing.

The Nurses Association are saying we are 4000 nurses short, and GPs are saying the system is failing due to unsustainable workload - we need some common sense, drop the unnecessary mandates and give those frontline health workers their jobs back.
