New Zealand First List MP Tanya Unkovich has vast professional and life experience. After starting her career in finance, she became self-employed, and has since become a seasoned public speaker, a published author and international life and business coach.
Through her own resilience journey, Tanya found her passion for mental health. One of her drivers to stand for New Zealand First and enter into public service on a greater scale is to address and offer solutions for the often unspoken issues surrounding mental health.
Born in Dargaville, Northland, Tanya now resides in Auckland with her husband Grant. She is a member of Select Committees for Social Services, and for Economic Development, Science and Innovation.
