Alistair Boyce

Alistair Boyce grew up in the Hutt and became a long-standing citizen of Wellington. He will represent New Zealand First in the Hutt South electorate.

Educated at Victoria University in Political Economy, History, Business Management and Marketing, Alistair completed his Bachelor of Arts with a double major in 1990.

Instrumental in opening the Backbencher Pub & Café in 1990, Alistair became part owner of Backbencher Limited in 1997. He has worked, managed, owned and consulted in hospitality and business throughout the country and has been a manager or director since 1997, employing and managing over 4500 staff over that time.

Alistair and his wife have lived and worked in the Hutt Valley and Wellington communities since 1990 and raised their daughter there.

Alistair’s beliefs and values are mirrored in New Zealand First policy. He believes New Zealand needs experienced leadership and pragmatic economic policy that benefits all Kiwis in order to maintain our unique culture with equality of opportunity.
