Daryl Habraken

Daryl Habraken is a proud New Zealander whose values were shaped by a strong rural upbringing steeped in hard work, resilience, personal responsibility, and community spirit. He is standing for New Zealand First in the electorate of Northcote in the upcoming general election.

With more than 15 years of experience working across political campaigns, communications, and creative strategy, he believes strong leadership begins with listening, communicating clearly, and standing firmly by principle.

Alongside his political work, Daryl has dedicated much of his career to storytelling through film, media, and digital content creation, proudly championing New Zealand culture, talent, and identity to audiences both locally and internationally.

Daryl’s work has also included supporting and documenting the efforts of NGOs and charitable organisations including World Vision, Owen Glenn Foundation, and local initiatives such as Handing The Shame Back, an organisation committed to protecting children from domestic violence and helping combat child exploitation and trafficking.

Daryl believes New Zealand’s future depends on strong communities, personal accountability, opportunity, and leadership grounded in common sense. He is committed to being a strong, authentic voice for New Zealanders and helping build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous nation for future generations.
