Esther Tofilau-Tevaga

Esther Tofilau-Tevaga is a respected South Auckland community leader, advocate, businesswoman, and mentor with decades of experience supporting families, youth, and local communities across New Zealand.

Since 2005, Esther has served as a Northern Regional Trust Board Member for Hato Hone St John, where she has contributed through community engagement, advocacy, and supporting initiatives that improve local wellbeing and public safety outcomes.

Esther is also the Chief Executive Officer of the ASA Foundation Trust, where she leads programmes focused on youth development, education, health awareness, and community resilience throughout South Auckland. She works closely with community organisations, local groups, and families to deliver practical, inclusive support and opportunities for people from all walks of life.

Alongside her community work, Esther has experience in the finance and business sector, including roles in lending and small business leadership. She is also passionate about women’s leadership, cultural education, youth mentoring, and promoting positive pathways for future generations.

As a New Zealand First candidate, Esther brings practical leadership, grassroots community experience, and a strong commitment to ensure every New Zealander has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
