Gerald Warner

Born and raised in the Waikato town of Huntly, Gerald graduated from Massey University with a Diploma and Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in public sector management, before completing post graduate studies, gaining a Master of Arts with Honours in social policy.

For more than two decades, Gerald has led complex, high value initiatives in fourteen government agencies, shaping national programmes in areas such as defence, justice, education, foreign affairs, social development, economic development, culture and heritage, health, and revenue collection.

His work has centred on organisational reform, strategic planning, investment, performance, and information systems delivery — always with a focus on strengthening public institutions and improving outcomes for New Zealanders.

Having spent his career helping to transform and strengthen the public institutions that millions of Kiwis rely on every day, Gerald believes deeply in the need for a political movement that restores balance, accountability, and commonsense leadership.

He is proud to stand with New Zealand First to support its mission to protect, save, and restore the nation he has spent his life serving.
