Why aren’t we at ‘green light’ settings now?

These unnecessary mandates should have been removed long ago - particularly the pointless, inconsistent, and illogical mask mandates. Other countries around the world have seen sense and Labour needs to let go of their control-freak approach and give kiwis some credit.

If not now then when?

No one minds following the rules for the greater good - but only if they are rules that make sense.

With so many inexplicable inconsistencies mask wearing is getting harder to justify and harder for people to take seriously.

You must wear a mask when you walk into a restaurant - but not if you sit down. You must wear a mask standing in line at the dairy - but not when you’re in a packed stadium standing in line with thousands of others. You must wear a mask on all public transport - but not if you are sitting in your seat eating.

Where is the science behind these rules or is the government just a bunch of control freaks?

How long are people going to put up with being told what to do without any logic as to the why?
